Automated failover software for disk only

I have an HP MSL5000 series tape library with two FC cards. I will have dual pathing via two fabrics. I'm looking for software that can encapsulate both paths presented in the system (hpux11i) so when one path fails it automatically fails over to the other path.

So far, I can't find anything that does that. We have EMC Powerpath but that only works with disk LUNs. We also use HP Omniback that doesn't provide the path failover facility so we have to switch manually when a path fails. Any thoughts would be great.

Unfortunately, all of the software that does that only does it for disk. Sorry.

I have done it with shell scripts though when I was really determined to make it work.
