Neptune Technology partners with SmartPick Backup to offer terabytes of offsite data storage
Neptune Technology announced that it has partnered with SmartPick Backup to resell the SmartFiler Backup Appliances, which offer businesses to back up large amounts of data onsite and offsite without having to go to a third party remote data backup provider.
The SmartFiler Backup Appliance series products have storage capacities ranging from 500 GB to 8 TB. Users have the option to buy two models, one to keep onsite and one to keep in an offsite remote location. Backup features of the SmartFiler products include nightly and weekly backups, incremental data backups and snapshots.
Online Tech introduces new offsite data backup service
Online Tech introduced its third generation data backup hosting service, OTBackup. OTBackup currently works to provide continuous data backups between Online Tech's two data centers, which are located 53 miles apart. Features of OTBackup include data recovery from customizable points in time, partial or full data restoration, bare metal restore, and continuous data protection (CDP). OTBackup is available now for both physical and virtual servers at Online Tech's two data centers.
EMC launches Mozy online data backup service in Europe
EMC Corp. announced that it is extending its Mozy online backup service to users in the UK and Ireland. Pricing for customers in the UK and Ireland for the Mozy service starts at 4.99 pounds per month for unlimited data storage for one computer, or 3.99 pounds per computer per month, as well as 50 pence per gigabyte. A server license costs 6.99 pounds per month as well as 50 pence per gigabyte.
CloudLinux now compatible with data recovery company R1Soft
CloudLinux Inc. announced that its CloudLinux is now compatible with R1Soft, a data backup and recovery company that provides CDP software for Windows and Linux servers. According to CloudLinux, this compatibility with R1Soft is an important step in the evolution of their technology, which is currently used as a building block for hosting providers who are expanding their services to the cloud.
