i365 announces virtualized edition of EVault for Microsoft DPM
i365 Inc. (a Seagate company) announced the release of a Virtual Edition of EVault for Microsoft Data Protection Manager (DPM). EVault for DPM combines Microsoft DPM's unified data protection for Microsoft Windows servers and applications with EVault's protection for Linux, VMware IBM i, IBM AIX, HP-UX, Sun, Solaris, Novell Netware and Oracle databases. The Virtual Edition of EVault for Microsoft DPM offers a choice of platforms -- either Microsoft Hyper-V or VMware virtual environments.

CMS Products Inc. announced its backup and recovery software BounceBack Ultimate 9.2 has received a "Best Buy" award from Consumers Digest magazine. In the April 2011 issue of Consumers Digest, BounceBack Ultimate 9.2 software is listed as a premium selection. Consumers Digest said BounceBack Ultimate 9.2 is the only backup software that allows you to start up your computer directly from a USB-enabled external hard drive. They also said that it provides continuous data protection (CDP), the ability to back up to multiple locations at the same time, and encrypt backups.
