Quest Software introduces Quest Backup Reporter for Oracle backup
Quest Software Inc. recently announced Quest Backup Reporter for Oracle, a desktop product that gives administrators a dashboard view of all the Oracle backups they’re managing. Quest Backup Reporter can track reporting metrics like backup performance, storage consumption, backup health, backup policy reporting and backup schedule overview. It is also designed to reduce the time needed to report on the status of Oracle backups. Quest Backup Reporter will be available on April 21.
Nirvanix Cloud Storage Network now integrated with DiVA Solutions
Nirvanix Cloud Storage Network has been integrated with Front Porch Digital’s DIVASolutions software suite as a cloud archival and storage access product. DIVASolutions migrates and manages media content, and will be showcased at the 2011 NAB show.
FilesAnywhere launches CoolBackup
FilesAnywhere released a new backup application called CoolBackup. The software is available in a regular and professional version. The regular version allows users to sync files or backup folders from a PC, Mac or online storage. The professional version supports FTP, FTPS, SFTP/SSH, WebDAV, SSL, HTTP and Amazon S3 Web storage. It can run as a Windows service and can also run scheduled jobs with synthetic backups.
Kroll Ontrack enhances technology to help businesses recover data from Oracle databases
Kroll Ontrack expanded its data recovery service capabilities for Oracle databases. Kroll Ontrack is designed to help companies fix Oracle data loss situations, which usually occur because of human error or hardware damage. Kroll Ontrack engineers work to recover corrupt Oracle databases and logs, damaged Automatic Storage Management (ASM) file systems, and missing or deleted databases..
Dell and Moonwalk sign worldwide supplier agreement
Moonwalk Inc. is working with Dell to provide DX Object Storage Platform to Dell customers. The DX Object Storage product is designed to manage data from creation through to deletion. The company claims it can reduce management by 50%. It changes, copies and moves data according to user rules and policies based on criteria such as age, size, file type, file name and file creator. Moonwalk is compatible with Windows, NFS, Linux and Novell environments.
Scality and CTERA announce partnership
Scality and CTERA Networks announced their partnership to create an offering for enterprises and cloud storage service providers. The new partnership is for cloud-based storage and data protection services with no service interruption.
