Storage Guardian data backup service announces online backup pricing for SMBs

Remote data backup provider, Storage Guardian, announced a new pricing model for SMBs. Storage Guardian's tiered-storage approach includes a local backup of first-generation data, a second tier of online backup, and a third tier of nearline backups of mature data.

To save time, the initial backup is performed on an external drive that is shipped to the Storage Guardian. If a major restore is needed, Storage Guardian can overnight-courier an external drive containing crucial data. Storage Guardian's online backup technology uses AES 256-bit encryption and hardware authentication.
