Acronis Backup & Recovery for vCloud is a new product that works with VMware vCloud Director and enables service providers to offer their clients self-service backup, recovery and data migration for VMware vCloud virtual machines (VMs). The product is designed to allow small businesses to use vCloud for DR.
Asigra Inc. Cloud Backup Version 12.2 with Recovery License Model
Asigra Cloud Backup provides backup across physical, virtual and cloud environments. Version 12.2 of Asigra Cloud Backup offers new data recovery analytics features, cloud-to-cloud support for Google Apps, single-pass backup for Microsoft Exchange and SharePoint, and VMware Data Recovery enhancements for failover/failback. The company's new pricing model also decouples backup and recovery licensing.
CommVault Systems Inc. Simpana 10
CommVault Simpana is an enterprise-class backup software platform for virtual and physical environments. Version 10 offers a new OnePass feature that is designed to streamline backup, archive and reporting. The software also provides new workflow automation, parallel dedupe, virtual machine archiving, content-aware retention, file sync, customized reporting and dashboards. In addition, IntelliSnap snapshot management has been extended to support Hyper-V.
Continuity Software AvailabilityGuard/SAN
Continuity's AvailabilityGuard/SAN software offers visibility into the entire SAN fabric, including storage, servers, operating systems, file systems and host bus adapters, among others, and is designed to identify gaps in data protection and data loss risks. AvailabilityGuard/SAN provides automatic daily verification of the SAN fabric, impact testing for changes to the environment and validation that configuration changes won't result in data loss.
FalconStor Software Continuous Data Protector 7.5
FalconStor Continuous Data Protector (CDP) offers real-time data protection that allows users to recover to any point in time. New in version 7.5 is a Stretched Cluster Configurator feature that gives users the ability to identify and set up storage devices in a cluster configuration. The latest product update also includes new Windows 2012 and Hyper-V support, service-aware failover/failback and on-demand CDP journal expansion.
Quantum Corp. DXi V4000
The Quantum DXi V4000 is a software-based virtual appliance that offers both physical and virtual server backup and target data deduplication. The product supports 24 TB of usable capacity in a single virtual instance and a 4.9 TB per-hour ingest rate.
Unitrends Inc. Enterprise Backup 7.0
Unitrends' Enterprise Backup is a backup software package for physical and virtual environments. New features in 7.0 include hot-hot replication; application-aware failover to a replicated, offsite VM for Oracle and SharePoint; and new install/upgrade functionality. In addition, the product now extends deduplication to data in the cloud to reduce capacity needs.
Veeam Software Veeam Backup & Replication v7
Veeam Backup & Replication is a backup software platform designed for virtual environments. The latest release offers built-in WAN acceleration, Hewlett-Packard SAN snapshot management, native tape support, Veeam Explorer for SharePoint and new Hyper-V backup functionality.
Zerto Virtual Replication 3.0
Zerto Virtual Replication is a hypervisor-based replication application that works in VMware environments. Version 3.0 includes workload mobility between public and private clouds, user self-service and integration with VMware vCloud. A Cloud Manager feature allows users to manage multiple cloud locations as a single entity.
