Tandberg Data announces portfolio of SMB data protection products
Tandberg Data announced a portfolio of SMB data protection products including both tape and disk-based data backup products. The first product in the portfolio is an SMB tape drive, the Tandberg Data DAT 320, which provides entry-level tape backup. The Tandberg Data DAT 320 has data backup capacity ranging from 72GB to 320GB.

The second product in the portfolio is an entry-level removable disk technology, the Tandberg Data RDX QuikStor, which offers data capacity from 80GB to 640GB. The RDX QuikStor is a disk-based removable storage system with portable cartridges that combines the benefits of both tape and disk technologies. The third product in the portfolio is the Tandberg Data LTO tape drive and tape automation solutions, which offers offsite storage and archiving.

3X Systems introduces private cloud backup appliance for SMBs
3X systems announced a new line of Remote Backup Appliances (RBAs). The 3X RBA is a private cloud system that combines high speed on-premise backup with online remote backup for disaster recovery (DR). This product is designed specifically for SMBs so they can perform their initial data backups locally using their high speed network. Then they can move their backups offsite for continuous data protection (CDP) and disaster recovery.
The 3X RBA can connect to and back up data from servers, desktops, laptops and remote offices. The private cloud backup appliance offers data privacy, recovery and mobility. Pricing for the 3X RBA starts at $2,495, with data storage capacity of up to 2 TB.
Synology launches DS410j priced for SMBs
Synology launched the new DS410j, a new four-bay network-attached storage (NAS) system with a combination of features, performance and price aimed at SMBs. The DS410j is designed for home networks and small businesses who want the flexibility of being able to add more drives to the system later. This allows savings up front, as organizations would only have to spend on what they need now.
The DS410j also comes with a Disk Station Manager 2.2, which has features for sharing, streaming and securing data, and is compatible with Macs, Windows or Linux systems.
Enhance Technology announces new EnhanceRAID TS800 Series
Enhance Technology Inc. announced the new release of EnhanceRAID TS800 Series, a desktop RAID storage system with RAID-6 and Web GUI Management. Some of its features include disk supported serial ATA, individual key and lock for each drive tray, support for RAID levels 0, 1, 0+1, 3, 5, 6, 50, 60 and JBOD and green power supply. The TS800 series also supports eight removable drive bays that each come with lock and key for extra data security and protection.
Nomadesk offers features to help SMBs recover from pandemic disasters
Nomadesk, a virtual file server, is providing VPN-like features to SMBs who need to have a system in place for employees to work from home during a pandemic disaster in their work environment. Employees can access their work remotely, and documents will still be encrypted, saved, synchronized and backed up both locally and to the cloud.
Paragon Software introduces new data backup product for SMBs
Paragon Software Group announced the Drive Backup 10 Server Edition, a product that offers disaster recovery and system migration in physical and virtual environments. Drive Backup 10 Server Edition reduces recovery times and gives IT managers flexibility in managing the continuity of their systems.
Other features of Drive Backup 10 Server Edition include: backup to FTP, scheduled file backups, adaptive restore, remote management capabilities and support for Windows 2008 R2 and Windows 7. The product is priced at $499 and is available now.
